Located in the heart of the Gothic, the Mercer Hotel Barcelona is a unique establishment with only 28 rooms that recovers a heritage of great historical value for the city, since the historical sequence lived spans from the s. I AD represented by part of the Roman wall of Barcino, up to the present day, going through medieval and modern times.
The architectural rehabilitation project has been carried out by Rafael Moneo, who once again has been able to find a balance between the recovered elements and those of new construction, especially represented in the spectacular curtain wall that presides over the so-called Patio de los Naranjos.
